The group met, gathered at the lectern, agreed to form The Society of Speakers.
The group voted to accept Charter Memberships from speakers who donated $50 to the Society of Speakers Treasury. The speakers who donated the $50 were: Sylvia Henderson, John Collard, Yasmin Anderson Smith, Eugene Razetti, Richard Tyler, James D. Feldman.
The meeting concluded with the agreement that with $300 in the treasury and nineteen members of record there should be an organizing meeting in October.
Later in the evening Ms. Solomon donated $50 to bring the Society of Speakers’ treasury to $350.
